Meet the Birkys!
This year the Fountain of Youth has had some personnel changes, one of which being our activities team. We are excited for Sam and Susan Birky joining the FOY family as we work together to bring everyone the best activity experience possible. We are confident everything will go smoothly and look forward to making new memories in the park! Here is a quick bio so you can get a little information about Sam and Sues background. Step into the activities office during the week to meet them in person!
“We are Sam and Susan Birky. Newly hired activities leaders. Montana is our home; Fountain of Youth is our new winter home. In our first month on the job, we have been inundated with events, activities and calendars. We have also enjoyed meeting the myriad of visitors to our activities office. Many of these visitors have become friends.
It is with gratitude we say thanks to the leadership for extending to us the invitation to join the FOY family. Each day is filled with new challenges, a better understanding of activity calendaring and opportunities to meet co-workers and fellow campers.
Susan and I bring many years of experience of working at various church camps and with wonderful volunteers. We also bring 31 years of military experience. The opportunity of traveling to a new location, to be given a challenging job and to call a different location home is familiar to us.
We endeavor to bring a smile to your faces and excitement to your hearts as we work and play together. It is our desire to bring a sense of enthusiasm to every day. May each gathering be fun and memorable.”
New Park Improvement Alert!!
New park improvement alert!!
Last year we had many requests to add more pickle ball courts to the park as it has become a very popular pastime amongst our FOY patrons. We heard you loud and clear and have resurfaced the tennis courts to also be used as up to eight pickle ball games at once. The courts are obviously still able to service 2 tennis games as well. More options are more activities.
As well as a pool surfacing, we drained and resurfaced the non-saltwater pool. Its now smooth and bright as ever!
